About Me
Kelly is a realistic artist who creates detailed portraits of wildlife and pets, working primarily in acrylics, pastels, and graphite. Based in Milton Keynes and originally from the small town of Ampthill, Kelly has always had a creative spirit. Her early artistic journey began with textiles, inspired by her nan, who was a skilled seamstress.
It wasn’t until after completing her A Levels that Kelly discovered her passion for drawing and painting. She began by recreating the work of other artists, using this time to study form, colour, and technique. After several years of self-directed learning, she spent a year studying Fine Art at college, which helped refine her skills and deepen her understanding of the creative process.
Following college, Kelly explored tattoo design — creating custom pieces for herself, friends, and family — and began an apprenticeship. Although the experience didn’t unfold as planned, it taught her valuable lessons and encouraged her to focus on personal growth and her family.
In 2016, Kelly was diagnosed pression. Art became more than a passion — it became a source of calm, focus, and healing. While motivation can sometimes be a challenge, the sense of peace and accomplishment she feels when creating keeps her moving forward.
Today, Kelly is dedicated to building her career as a full-time artist. Through her work, she aims to capture the unique beauty and personality of every animal she paints.
